Its engineering that improves life !!!! (must watch)

Applying brain is only solution

Must Read...

A father left 17 camels as an asset for his three sons.

When the father passed away, his sons opened up the will. The Will of the father stated that the eldest son should get half of 17 camels while the middle son should be given 1/3rd (one-third).The youngest son should be given 1/9th (one-ninth) of the 17 camels.

As it is not possible to divide 17 into half or 17 by 3 or 17 by 9, three sons started to fight with each other.

So, the three sons decided to go to a wise man. The wise man listened patiently about the Will. The wise man, after giving this thought, brought one camel of his own and added the same to 17. That increased the total to 18 camels. Now, he started reading the deceased father’s will. Half of 18 = 9. So he gave the eldest son 9 camels 1/3rd of 18 = 6. So he gave the middle son 6 camels 1/9th of 18 = 2. So he gave the youngest son 2 camels. Now add this up: 9 plus 6 plus 2 is 17 and this leaves one camel, which the wise man took back.

Moral :The attitude of negotiation and problem solving is to find the 18th camel i.e. the common ground. Once a person is able to find the common ground, the issue is resolved. It is difficult at However, to reach a solution, the first step is to believe that there is a solution. If we think that there is no solution, we won’t be able to reach any!

FILM ANTENNAS FOR AERODYNAMIC TRUCKS

In a partnership with Freightliner, Hirschmann Car Communication Inc. created a film antenna as part of an efficiency concept to make trucks more environmentally friendly and easier to maintain. The film antenna is integrated in the tractor body, making damage to the system impossible during operation, according to the electronics supplier; currently 20% of trucks’ conventional rod antennas require replacement within a year. The film antenna reportedly offers the best transmission and reception quality for CB radio, AM/FM stations, and weather information radio channels.

The collaboration between Freightliner and Hirschmann began five years ago with work on Freightliner’s aerodynamically optimized Innovation Truck in 2009. The concept led to the development of the Cascadia Evolution, which launched in January 2013. Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Hirschmann, Oliver Neil said of the partnership, “Large trucks in North America used to have many bulky antennas on the roof, fenders, and mirrors. We now offer a system that enables our customer to develop the aerodynamic design without having to worry about the antennas. It is one of the first innovative components of the concept vehicle that went into series production.

Master's in turbocharging

WANT A MASTER'S IN TURBOCHARGING??

BorgWarner is working with the University of Huddersfield in the U.K. to establish a master's degree program in turbocharging engineering. The news came May 15 in a BorgWarner announcement outlining several developments in the U.K. (see below). Since 2011, BorgWarner has been collaborating with the University of Huddersfield on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership to research improvements in materials for turbocharger housings. The master's program would address commercial-vehicle and passenger-car applications. In related developments, BorgWarner will supply turbocharging technologies for JaguarLandRover's new family of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines that are slated to launch in 2015. To support the automaker's new Engine Manufacturing Centre near Wolverhampton, BorgWarner plans to expand on its existing production lines and build a new engineering center in Bradford. The supplier has produced turbocharging systems for several commercial engine makers in Bradford for almost 35 years; the new line will expand its turbocharger offerings to passenger cars.

catia or solidworks

Q. I am really confused what should i do SOLIDWORKS OR CATIA?
I AM FREE AT WEEKEND, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, KINDLY SUGGEST SOMETHING THAT SHOULD I DO IN THESE WEEKENDS.

Ans. Hello,
Out of Solidworks and CATIA, we would recommend you to learn CATIA. This is because,

1. CATIA is a multi-platform software that can be used in three domains namely CAD, CAE and CAM. Whereas Solidworks is a single-platform software used for CAD only.

2. CATIA is preferred for working by most companies over Solidworks.

3. CATIA is a little difficult to learn and requires professional help in order to start working on this platform. Solidworks can easily be mastered without any help if you have a proficiency in CATIA.

Definition of a Fluid.

A fluid is a substance that deforms continuously when subjected to a shear stress, no matter how small that shear stress may be. A shear force is the force component tangent to a surface, and this force divided by the area of the surface is the average shear stress over the area. Shear stress at a point is the limiting value of shear force to area as the area is reduced to the point.
